My name is Nicole and I am a certifying labor and postpartum Doula, also offering Child Birth Education services.
I support families in all types of births (medicated, home births, Cesarean, VBAC). My goal is to ensure that mother and family are well supported through their birthing and postpartum journey and to help bring you through your best birth! About Me
Hello!

My name is Nicole. I am mother to a wonderful baby boy and two fur-babies :).
My journey with Doula work began after I was fortunate enough to witness my niece entering the world. Birth is remarkable, no matter which way you experience it and I knew from that moment on, that I needed to make birth and supporting families part of my life.
Doula Training Canada has given me the opportunity to put my passion into action and become certified in labor and postpartum services. Additionally I aim to educate on the amazing journey of pregnancy and postpartum through acquiring my Child Birth Education certification.
I strive to ensure that you are empowered and can advocate for yourself during your birth and postpartum period. I hope that with my support, I can provide you with stability and comfort as I believe that each and every birthing person deserves to have the best experience possible during this time of amazing transition.
Services
Child Birth Education
By attending my class, you can expect to gain a broad sense of knowledge from everything concerning the anatomy of pregnancy and how the body reacts to the birthing process to what you can expect in your first week of bringing your baby home.
I want to ensure that by coming to my class that you receive the information you will need to get through your pregnancy and feel confident when bringing baby home for the first time. My aim is to bring awareness of any potential issues to look out for in yourself in pregnancy and post partum as well as in baby. My classes are designed to be inclusive to all types of birth whether it is in hospital or at home, and to ensure that everyone has fun while learning!
My goal as well, is for your support person (whoever that may be), to feel comfortable in empowering you to advocate for yourself and be aware of the decisions you will need to make (as a pregnant person and new parent). My wish is for them to go into the laboring experience with you and know the options you could potentially be presented with.
Coming to one of my classes means having fun in an inclusive environment. I cater to all learning types through different forms of instruction and create activities to provide you with as much hands on experience as possible!
Birth Doula
Being a labor Doula means offering unwavering support. I am there to support you both physically through comfort measures as well as emotionally through empowering you in your labor decisions. We would meet twice prior to your due date to discuss the various options you could be presented with during your labor. This is to ensure we are on the same page in terms of your wishes and anything you may or may not want during your birth. My job is not to replace any additional support persons you may wish to have at your birth, but to work alongside them and provide them with the ability to take breaks as needed during what can be a very lengthy process.
My top priority is always the mother's well being and ensuring she has the care she needs during the entirety of the birth process.
Postpartum
Postpartum visits are designed to ensure that mom and baby are settling well into their new roles. The goal is to support mom in any breastfeeding concerns she may have or assist in any other feeding methods she may be using.
I am also happy to help with any light house cleaning and of course happy to offer expert snuggling for baby while mom has a quick nap or shower.
